A BIG THANK YOU FOR JOINING OUR SUSTAINABLE JOURNEY

A big thank you to our 9 key packaging and consumable suppliers, who joined forces to make the Horti packaging world more sustainable.

Two years ago Dutch Flower Group invited our packaging suppliers to join us on our Sustainability Journey. After presenting our sustainability strategy IMPACT25, we challenged them with the question how to support us making the world a more sustainable place.

We talked about reporting queries raised from CSRD, how to get to a more transparent supply chain connected to CSDDD, how to work on data to enable footprint calculations and reduction programs arising from this; CO2/LCA and much more topics. And maybe the most important part: we challenged them to work together, as competitors, on these important non-compete topics.

We are so proud to see that they accepted this challenge and collectively work together through the Horticulture Packaging Sustainability Initiative (HSPI). HSPI is addressing all the mayor sustainability topics, and set up targets for improvement on them for the future.

So thank you for your continuous effort this, and we are looking forward to seeing the sustainability improvements and the HSPI collective grow in the future: Chrysal, Koenpack, Paardekooper (including a.o. Broekhof, DillewijnZwapak, Olsthoorn, Van der Windt, Vaselife), Decowraps, Desch, JBB Packaging, Floralife (part of Smithers-Oasis), Modiform, Twinpack (part of De Jong Verpakking, a Stora Enso subsidiary).

On behalf of DFG, Marcel Zandvliet (CMO/CSO DFG) and Raimon Loman (Group Sustainability Manager DFG) have thanked the 9 companies personally, by presenting them a token of our appreciation.
