Kwekerij Vicini, OVATA and Tambuzi named winners of the 2025 Dutch Flower Awards
During the 23rd edition of the Dutch Flower Awards, Marcel Zandvliet, CMO | CSO of Dutch Flower Group (DFG), announced this year’s winners. The theme for 2025, ‘IMPACT – Building sustainable impact together’, highlights the shared ambition of DFG and its partners to chart a collective course towards a more sustainable future.
Ahead of the ceremony, buyers from various DFG companies visited the nine nominated growers to capture their contributions to this year’s theme. These forward-thinking growers demonstrate how sustainability is being put into practice and shared their plans to continue making a positive impact in the years ahead. The theme aligns seamlessly with DFG’s IMPACT2030 sustainability strategy, which focuses on turning vision into action.
The awards ceremony
During the ceremony, the nominees truly took centre stage. Excitement built up during the festive event at the Trade Fair Aalsmeer, where hundreds of DFG’s partners and relations gathered to celebrate this special occasion. Together, they reflected on the vital role growers play in driving sustainable progress across the floriculture sector.
The Dutch Flower Awards were presented in three categories: Flowers, Plants and Foreign Suppliers. Kwekerij Vicini was named winner in the Flowers category. The Plants category award went to OVATA, and Tambuzi from Kenya was recognised as the winner in the Foreign Suppliers category.
Milestones reached in 2025 and looking ahead
Prior to the ceremony, Jan van Dam, CEO of DFG, shared an update on recent developments and key milestones achieved by Dutch Flower Group over the past year. For 2025, a turnover of €2.3 billion is expected, in line with last year.
In his speech, Jan van Dam emphasised the importance of collaboration across the supply chain: “The strength of our sector lies in partnership. Only by working closely with our growers, suppliers and customers can we continue to innovate, deliver on our sustainability ambitions and build a resilient, future-proof floriculture industry together.”
