In order to make the world a more sustainable place for future generations, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of the activities within our floral chain, focusing on our company processes and products: our value chain.

Strive towards zero environmental impact in our companies and our chain by 2025*.

OUR CO2 REDUCTION
In order to be able to reduce the footprint from our companies and products we will need to get factual insights, through measuring our current footprint. Dutch Flower Group partnered with Ecochain in 2019 to kick off the measurement process. In 2020 we have set up an activity plan which clearly describes our impactful activities towards 2025.
OUR WASTE REDUCTION
Although waste reduction could be considered a part of CO2 reduction, we still like to specifically emphasise this topic among our individual companies. Each DFG company will make their individual policy with regard to waste reduction; they will measure it, monitor it and come up with an individual reduction plan.
OUR WATER REDUCTION
We use a significant volume of water in the floriculture value chain: at the growers and within our own chain. Just like waste reduction, water reduction could also be considered a part of CO2 reduction. Again, we feel this topic is so important we need to address it specifically.
