Michel van Hout to leave Dutch Flower Group

As of 1 October 2026, Michel van Hout, Chief Information Officer (CIO), will be leaving Dutch Flower Group (DFG) after almost nine years. It has been mutually agreed that the next phase of DFG’s digital transformation requires new leadership in terms of the direction and responsibilities of the digital function. DFG will shortly begin the recruitment process to fill this position.

Over the past years, Van Hout has played a key role in the development and support of several major projects relating to ERP, e-commerce and digital security. He has also helped take digitalisation within DFG to the next level and has built bridges across the floriculture sector to ensure that Royal FloraHolland’s (RFH) Floriday marketplace better meets the needs of trading companies.

Until his departure, Van Hout will focus on the successful go-live of one of the ongoing ERP projects.

Michel van Hout: “I look back on a great period during which my team and I, together with our external experts, have taken significant steps and created digital value for DFG. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all colleagues and business partners, both within and beyond the sector, for their commitment and the trust they have placed in us over the past years, making this possible.”

Jan van Dam, CEO of DFG: “I am grateful to Michel for his commitment and expertise over the past years and wish him every success in the next stage of his career.”
