Sustainability
Working towards a more sustainable world, together
Since our foundation in 1999, we have been committed to helping establish a more sustainable floriculture supply chain. Dutch Flower Group companies cooperate closely with growers, customers, colleagues and partners to maximise sustainability throughout our chain. Every day, we work on raising awareness and implementing environmental and social improvements wherever possible, with our sustainability strategy IMPACT2030.
Making the difference together, with IMPACT2030
Through our sustainability strategy leading up to 2030 – IMPACT2030 – we are committed to making an impact thats helps achieve a happier and greener world, while contributing positively to the lives of the people within the value chain, thereby making the world more sustainable. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance is an important metric in how we measure our success, and features in our IMPACT2030 sustainability strategy.
The impact we aim to make will only be achieved by working collectively, within our chain and throughout the floriculture sector as a whole. Through close cooperation with our business partners and stakeholders, and transparent sharing of know-how and results.
The Dutch Flower Group IMPACT2030 strategy is based on 4 topics. For each of these, we have defined our commitment, targets and specific initiatives looking towards 2030.

Frontrunner fundamentals
Our IMPACT2030 sustainability strategy is based on our fundamentals:
- Certified sourcing:
Our sustainability strategy and Due Diligence policy are based upon 100% certified purchasing. - Fact-based & data-driven:
Gathering data that enables fact-based decision-making is key. This will be led by data required for CSRD and FloriPEFCR methodology. - Cooperation:
Support from our value chain partners and key stakeholders is essential for establishing our baseline measurements, reaching our targets, achieving our ambitions and fulfilling our commitments. - Governance:
We have implemented formal organisational structures (e.g. Sustainability Council) to enable a transparent and integrated approach to IMPACT2030 within Dutch Flower Group and our companies.
Sustainable development goals
Dutch Flower Group’s IMPACT2030 sustainability strategy is aligned with the United Nations’ (UN’s) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 goals and 169 sub-targets, which were developed by the UN in 2015, are collectively known as “Agenda 2030”. Together, these are intended to help eliminate extreme poverty, reduce inequality and protect our planet. All companies within Dutch Flower Group will make an impactful contribution to the following seven SDGs:
