International networking high on DFG's agenda
Aalsmeer, June 2013
From 4th to 7th June the International Floriculture Trade Expo (IFTEX) took place in the Oshwal Center in Nairobi, Kenya. This year, on Thursday 6th June, the Dutch Flower Group (DFG) held a closed Supplier’s Meeting between its businesses in Kenya and growers in Kenya and the surrounding African countries connected to the wholesale industry and large-scale retail.
The Supplier's Meeting was held on an informal basis with a group of more than 100 African growers and representatives of the DFG flower wholesale and large-scale retail businesses.

Conrad Archer, DFG Kenya representative, Marco Vermeulen (Division Director Flowers and Sourcing) and Marco van Zijverden (CEO DFG) presented the general developments in the market and the desire to collaborate in a more sustainable way.
Questions were answered in an informal setting, much to the appreciation of the growers present, who were of the opinion that this event was worth repeating in future.
