Stronger collaboration in import of flowers
Two leading importers of cut flowers are merging: Oudendijk Import and OZ Import, the latter a subdivision of Dutch Flower Group. Both are situated in De Kwakel.
As of 1 January 2013, the two companies will operate out of one central location: the premises of OZ Import at Magnolia 1 in De Kwakel.
The cause for this merger lies in increasing internationalization and the necessity to organize the chain more efficiently in the area of imports.
Both companies primarily import exotic flowers like the Protea/Cape Green, Hypericum, as well as summer flowers from Africa, South America and Israel. In addition to handling the purchasing and training of growers, they also offer services in the areas of processing, customer-ready packing and marketing for growers to exporters.
The management will be led by Jurjan van der Laarse. Commercial management will be the responsibility of Don van der Meer (exotic flowers) and Jaap Stelder (summer flowers).
Tino Rodewijk will be responsible for finance. The contacts with suppliers will be under the responsibility of Niek Oudendijk.
Dutch Flower Group is a worldwide family of companies. Together they are leaders in the import, export, trade and market development of cut flowers and plants.
